Notice to Imprestees under the Public Revenues Act, 1910.

The Treasury,
Wellington, 22nd February, 1917.

EVERY officer holding advances of public money is hereby required to pay to the Public Account, at the nearest branch of the Bank of New Zealand, the unexpended balance of his account on or before Saturday, the 31st March proximo, and forthwith to transmit to the Treasury at Wellington the bank receipt for such repayment, together with an account of his expenditure to the same date, as required by clause 5 of the Treasury Regulations.

As respects disbursements which officers may require to make immediately after the close of the financial year, requisitions for the amount required are to be made in such time as to enable them to reach Wellington not later than the 20th March, so that the requisite funds may be placed at the disposal of the officer as soon after the 1st April as possible.

APPLICATIONS will be received by the undersigned up till noon on the 3rd March, 1917, for the position of Fields Inspector, Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce, Ohaeawai.

  1. Applications (to be made on P.S.C. Form 17A, obtainable at principal post-offices) must be addressed to the Secretary to the Public Service Commissioner, Wellington, and must embrace a statement of education and experience, particulars of age, &c.

  2. Applicants must possess—
    (a.) A sound knowledge of field-cropping operations in New Zealand ;

(b.) A good knowledge of the control of rabbits and noxious weeds in New Zealand ;
(c.) Practical experience of rabbit-suppression ;
(d.) Some experience of office work and correspondence and
(e.) Ability to ride across country.

The appointment will be subject to the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1912.

The position will be graded in the General Division. Salary, £180 per annum to commence.

  2. Applicants must be duly qualified medical men who have had special experience in the treatment of consumption.

The appointment will be subject to the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1912.

The position will be graded in the Professional Division. Salary £500, maximum £600, per annum ; with free house, fuel, light, &c.

Public Service Stores Tender Board.—Supply and Delivery of Stores.

Wellington, 15th February, 1917.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Chairman, General Post Office, Wellington, not later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the 25th April, 1917, for the supply and delivery, C.I.F. and E., main ports, of 100 miles rubber-insulated wire, and 2,800 telephone cords.

Particulars and conditions of tendering may be obtained at the office of the Controller of Stores, Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington ; the District Storekeeper, Post and Telegraph Department, Christchurch ; or at the offices of the Telegraph Engineers at Auckland and Dunedin.
