ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fifth day of February, 1917.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE JAMES ALLEN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section nine of the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, it is enacted that there shall be constituted a Board to be called the Prisons Board, consisting of not less than three nor more than seven persons: And whereas by the said section it is provided that the members of the Board shall be appointed from time to time by the Governor in Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint—
The Honourable Sir Robert Stout, K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand;
Gibbes Claude Borlase Jordan, Esq., Under-Secretary for Justice;
Joseph Frank Strong Hay, Esq., Inspector-General of Mental Hospitals;
Charles Edward Matthews, Esq., Inspector of Prisons;
Edwin Hall, Esq., of Onehunga;
George Fenwick, Esq., of Dunedin; and
William Reece, Esq., of Christchurch,
to be Members of the Prisons Board constituted under the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, as aforesaid.

Partial Revocation of an Order in Council under Section 296 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this sixteenth day of January, 1917.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE JAMES ALLEN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and ninety-six of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under Part XVI of that Act, or under Part II of the Native Land Settlement Act, 1907, may be at any time revoked, either wholly or as to any part or parts of the land included therein, by the Governor by Order in Council:
And whereas a parcel of land known as Pouawa 3d 12 became subject, by virtue of an Order in Council dated the thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and nine, to the provisions of Part XVI of the Native Land Act, 1909:
And whereas the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board has recommended that such land be no longer subject to Part XVI aforesaid:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the said Order in Council, dated the thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and nine, but only in so far as it affects Pouawa 3d 12.

Recreation Reserve in Taranaki Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twelfth day of February, 1917.

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Taranaki Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Mapiu Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SCHEDULE.
MAPIU DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 22·8 perches, more or less, being Section 2, Block III, Mapiu Village. Bounded towards the north by Section 1, Block III, Mapiu Village, 870·82 links; towards the east generally by the Esplanade, 739·07 links; towards the south by Hinemoa Street, 587·66 links; and towards the west by Sections 7, 6, 5, 4, and 3, Mapiu Village, 500·04 links; and again on the south by Section 3, 250 links; and again on the west by Mapiu Street, 208·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/610, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Revoking Order in Council licensing the Dargaville Borough Council to use and occupy a Part of the Foreshore, Tidal Land, and Tidal Water of Wairoa River, Kaipara Harbour, as a Site for a Fire-brigade Shed.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fifth day day of February, 1917.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE JAMES ALLEN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 93, of the thirty-first day of the same month, the Dargaville Borough Council was licensed to occupy a part of the foreshore, tidal land, and tidal water of the Wairoa River at Dargaville, Kaipara Harbour, in order to erect and maintain thereon a fire-brigade shed:
And whereas such part of the foreshore, tidal land, and tidal water of the Wairoa River at Dargaville is not now required by the Dargaville Borough Council, and it is desirable that the said Order in Council of the twenty-eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen should be revoked:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Harbours Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council of the twenty-eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
