RE SOLTAR (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that at a general meeting of the above company held at the office of Mr. W. W. Bruce, Shortland Street, Auckland, on the 13th day of December, 1916, the following resolution was passed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, in pursuance of the notice; and that Mr. W. W. Bruce be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the company.”
And that at a general meeting held on the 11th January, 1917, the said resolution was duly confirmed.

NORTHCOTE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
EXTRACT FROM MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS AT A MEETING HELD ON THE 6TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1917, AT 7.45 P.M.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Northcote Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,800, authorized to be raised by the Northcote Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the following purposes:—
(a.) £200 of such loan for the purchase of Allotment 54C, Parish of Takapuna (known as Luteners), for recreation purposes;
(b.) £387 of such loan for the purchase of Lot 2 of Section 53, Parish of Takapuna, for municipal yards and stables, and erecting buildings thereon;
(c.) £689 of such loan to construct the Wharf Approach Road;
(d.) £449 of such loan on general footpath-formation in the borough;
(e.) £25 of such loan for the reclamation of Little Shoal Bay Recreation Reserve;
(f.) £25 of such loan for the erection of bathing-sheds; and
(g.) £25 of such loan for erecting name-plates to streets—
the said Northcote Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny three-farthings in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Northcote. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Northcote was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Northcote Borough Council, in the presence of—

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Northcote Borough Council at the meeting above mentioned, and that the same was gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette on the 15th day of February, 1917, page 634.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the WORLD’S PICTURE COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed by an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the World’s Picture Company (Limited) held at the company’s registered office on Tuesday, the 6th day of February, 1917:—
“That it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily; and, further, that HORACE EARLE DODD, of Gisborne, Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

FOSTERS ADHESIVE COMPOSITION COMPANY (LIMITED).
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the Fosters Adhesive Composition Company (Limited) duly convened and held at No. 108 Victoria Arcade, Auckland, on the 12th day of February, 1917, the subjoined extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—
“That it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same.”
And at such above-named meeting HENRY GILFILLAN was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.
