FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR AKA AK A LOAN OF £1,000 FOR ARROWSVILLE ROAD.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized to be raised by the Franklin County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of formation and metalling of road from south-western corner of Section 210, Waiuku East Parish, to north-eastern corner of Section 254 of said parish, such road being known as Arrowsville Road, the said Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Akaaka Special-rating Area, comprising the lands described in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary meeting of the above company held on the 19th day of December, 1916, the following special resolution was duly passed by the company:—

That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. JOHN BOOTH BECKETT, of Christchurch, Accountant, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the affairs of the company.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three hundred pounds (£300), authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing concrete channelling in and for the benefit of that part of St. Albans Ward of the City of Christchurch comprising Medway Street (formerly known as Minchins Road) and the road along the left bank of the River Avon lying between the said Medway Street and Banks Avenue, all in North Richmond, being that part of St. Albans Ward of the City of Christchurch defined in the Schedule at the foot hereof and known as “North Richmond Special-rating Area No. 3,” the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one-sixteenth of a penny (1 1/16 d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within that portion of St. Albans Ward of the City of Christchurch named, by resolution of the Council passed on 20th December, 1916, “North Richmond Special-rating Area No. 3”; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
