RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE OVER GLEN MASSEY SPECIAL RATING DISTRICT AS SECURITY FOR LOAN OF £1,300.
PROPOSED by Councillor Seavill and seconded by Councillor Johnstone,—
That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf enabling by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,300 authorized to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and amendments thereto, and with the consent of the Governor-General in Council, under section 26 of the Appropriation Act, 1915, as gazetted on page 3938, Gazette Number 160, 1917, for the purpose of forming and metalling certain roads at Glen Massey within the Glen Massey Special-rating District of the said county, the Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Glen Massey Special-rating District of the said county. The boundaries of the said special-rating district are as follows: Commencing at the north-east corner of Section West 172 of Block VI. Newcastle Survey District; thence west along the road-line to the south-east corner of Section 177 East; thence along the eastern and northern boundaries of Section 177 East to the north-eastern corner of Section 125A; thence west and north along the northern boundary of Section 125A and the western boundary of Section 125 to the north-eastern corner of Section 125; thence along the northern and western boundaries of Section 125 to the north-eastern boundary of Section 118; thence west along the northern boundary of Section 118 to the north-western boundary of same section; thence west, south, and east, taking in 300 acres of Section 133, to the south-western boundary of Section 139; thence south along the western boundary of Section 148 to the south-western boundary of same section; thence east along the southern boundaries of Sections 148, 147, 146, 145, 144, 163 North, 168, 169, 170, 171, and West 172 to the south-eastern boundary of Section West 172; thence north along the eastern boundary of Section West 172 to the point of commencement. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, at the rate of interest of £4 10s. per centum per annum, together with an additional yearly payment to provide the necessary sinking fund, or until the loan is fully paid off; and it is the intention to pay out of the loan the first year’s interest and sinking fund.
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Raglan County Council held at Ngaruawahia on the 12th day of December, 1917.

HAURAKI DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL INTEREST RATE FOR SPECIAL LOAN OF £5,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hauraki Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest, and also other charges on a special loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Hauraki Drainage Board under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for widening, deepening, erecting flood-gates, and improving present watercourses and drains and constructing new watercourses and drains in the Hauraki Drainage District, the said Hauraki Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate on a graduated scale according to the classification list of lands in the Hauraki Drainage District, of twelve-sixteenths of one penny in the pound on the rateable value of all lands in Class “A,” eleven-sixteenths of one penny in the pound on the rateable value of all lands in Class “B,” and ten-sixteenths of one penny in the pound on the rateable value of all lands in Class “C,” all of which classes and the lands therein, together with their rateable values as appearing on the valuation roll of the district, are set out in the classification list of the Hauraki Drainage District; and that such special rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of January and the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Hauraki Drainage Board, duly constituted and held on Saturday, the eighth day of December, 1917, in testimony whereof the seal of the Hauraki Drainage Board is hereto affixed, set, and impressed in the presence of—

MILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Milton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000 authorized to be raised by the Milton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying off a loan of £3,000 raised for the erection of a Town Hall, the said Milton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4½d. in the pound on the rateable value (annual) of all rateable property in the Borough of Milton, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June and the 31st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or such shorter period as may be determined by the Council, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Council at a duly convened meeting held on Wednesday, the 12th day of December, 1917.
