Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Additional Land at Greymouth for the Purposes of the Nelson-Greymouth Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or making of any Proclamation taking land under the Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was taken the Governor-General may, by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation, either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary:

And whereas it is found that part of the land at Greymouth taken for the purposes of the Nelson-Greymouth Railway by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen (hereinafter termed “the said Proclamation”), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 67, of the sixteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, page 2799, is not required for the purpose for which it was taken:

And whereas compensation in respect of the taking of the said land has not been paid or awarded:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects one rood twenty-five decimal one perches [shown coloured edged red on the plan marked W.R. 21510 (S.O. 1741), deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington], such land being part of the land mentioned in the Schedule to the said Proclamation.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-second day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or making of any Proclamation taking land under the Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was taken the Governor-General may, by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation, either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary:

And whereas it is found that part of the land between Takanini and Runciman taken for the purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the ninth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen (hereinafter termed “the said Proclamation”), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 8, of the eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, page 176, is not required for the purpose for which it was taken:

And whereas compensation in respect of the taking of the said land has not been paid or awarded:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects seven decimal two perches [shown coloured blue on the plan marked W.R. 22991, sheet 5 (S.O. 19059), deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington], such land being part of the land mentioned in the Schedule to the said Proclamation.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-second day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

And whereas compensation in respect of the taking of the said land has not been paid or awarded:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke the said Proclamation.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway to take further land between Takanini and Runciman, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned,
