Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 374
of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four
of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred
to as "the said Act"), and by section fourteen of the Native
Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that,
on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has
been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the
authority of the said Act, the Governor-General may issue a
Proclamation that such land has become Crown land :
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the
Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of
the Crown under the authority of the said Act :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and
seventy-four of the said Act, and by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William de
Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set
out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

Allocating to the Purposes of a Road Land in Block IV,
Elephant Hill Survey District, taken for a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land taken for the purposes of the
Waimate Branch of the Hurunui-Waikato Railway, and it
is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes
of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of
Public Works that such land is not required for railway
purposes : And whereas such land is situated in the Wai-
mate County, the local authority of which has consented to
the issue of this Proclamation, and appears to be the local
authority most capable of conveniently and effectively con-
trolling and maintaining the said road:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-
seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New
Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall
be maintained by the Waimate County Council in like
manner as other public highways are controlled and main-
tained by the said Council.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land dealt with : 1 perch
(coloured brown) and 1 perch (coloured pink).

deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, or enjoyment of the Waiuku Branch
of the North Island Main Trunk Railway, to take further
land in Drury Survey District, in addition to land previously
acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-
eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above
mentioned.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 rood 6·4
perches.
Portion of Lot 9 of Allotment 98, Waiuku East Parish,
Block XIII, Drury Survey District.
In the Auckland Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43298,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured neutral tint.
