Exportation of Beef Casings.
Customs Department,
Wellington, 30th January, 1917.
IT is hereby notified for general information that applications for the exportation of moderate quantities of beef casings other than bungs to the United States will be considered by the Minister of Customs.
Applications should be sent to the Comptroller of Customs, Wellington, and shipments must be consigned to the British Consul-General at San Francisco, New York, Boston, Chicago, or Philadelphia, for account of the real consignee, who must be on the list of approved recipients.
Applicants must state their average monthly purchases for the six months preceding the month in which application is made.

Exportation of Tallow to Russia.
Customs Department,
Wellington, 31st January, 1917.
IT has been decided to permit until further notice the exportation of tallow to Russia in quantities not exceeding 150 tons per month.
Applications to export should be made to the Comptroller of Customs, Wellington, on or before the undermentioned dates.
For February shipment: 10th February.
For March shipment: 20th February.
For each monthly shipment thereafter: 20th day of preceding month.
Applications must state the name of the exporting vessel, her approximate date and final port of departure from New Zealand, the quantity desired to be exported, and the route by which the goods will reach Russia.
The tallow must be consigned to the Russian Government or its representative.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolutions of the Southland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Pastoral Lands in Otago Land District classified.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Commissioners appointed to classify and report upon rural lands in Otago Land District have classified the pastoral runs mentioned in the Schedule hereto as therein noted, and the classification has been approved by His Excellency the Governor under section 225 of the Land Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
Class A.—Pastoral Lands.
Being Lands suitable exclusively for Pasturage and not capable of being used with Profit in Areas of a Carrying-capacity of less than 5,000 Sheep.
Runs 203B and 203C, Maniototo County: Area, 10,700 acres (Crown land).
Class B.—Pastoral-agricultural Lands.
Being Lands adapted in Part for Pasturage and in Part for Agricultural Purposes, but suitable for Subdivision in Areas not exceeding 5,000 Acres.
Run 206D, Maniototo County: Area, 3,940 acres (national endowment).

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for selection on renewable lease by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at this office up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 26th March, 1917.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 28th March, 1917, at 10.30 o’clock a.m.
The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.
