Soldiers’ Property Boards of Trustees appointed.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance of the regulations made on the 2nd April, 1917, and its amendments, for the management of soldiers’ properties, the Minister of Defence has constituted and appointed the following Soldiers’ Property Boards of Trustees, namely :—

Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, Part II, Unclaimed Lands.
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has, for the purpose of Part II of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, and its amendments (relating to unclaimed lands), made due inquiries with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder, and the whereabouts of the owner thereof, and has, in respect of the said land, given the notices prescribed by section 66 of the said Act, and has in all respects complied with the provisions of that Act pertinent hereto : And whereas the Public Trustee has not thereby ascertained the whereabouts of the owner or of any agent of such owner in New Zealand, nor has such owner established his title to the said land, as required by the said Act :
Now, I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, hereby give notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, and its amendments; the value of the land for the purposes of section 67 (d) of the said Act being less than £100.
Dated at Wellington this 6th day of November, 1917.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more or less, being Allotment 47, Parish of Whangamarino, Banks County. Bounded on the north-east by a road 100 links wide, 2140 links; on the north-west by a road of width aforesaid, 682 links; again on the north-east by Allotment No. 46, 2179 links; on the south-east by Allotments Nos. 44 and 45, 1964 links; and on the south-west by Allotments Nos. 48 and 49, 1384 links, 140 links, and 2565 links.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Waitara General Labourers’ Industrial Union of Workers, registered number 716, situated at Waitara, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 21 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.
