The licensees shall be liable for any injury which may
be sustained by any vessel or boat in passing the timber-
booms, or by contact therewith, and which may be occasioned
by any default or neglect on the licensees' part. -
In case the licensees shallβ
(1.) Commit or suffer a breach of the conditions herein-
before set forth, or any of them;
(2.) Cease to use or occupy the said timber-booms for a
period of thirty days;
(3.) Fail to pay the sums specified in clause 3 of these
conditions; or
(4.) Become bankrupt, or be brought under the operation
of any law for the time being in force relating to
bankruptcy β
then and in any of the said cases this Order in Council,
and every right, power, or privilege, may be revoked and
determined by the Governor-General in Council without any
notice to the licensees or other proceedings whatsoever; and
publication in the New Zealand Gazette of an Order in
Council containing such revocation shall be sufficient notice
to the licensees, and to all persons concerned or interested,
that this Order in Council, and the rights and privileges
thereby conferred, have been revoked and determined ; and
upon such revocation the Minister may cause the said
timber-booms to be removed, and may recover the costs
incurred by any such removal from the licensees. -
The construction of the timber-booms shall be deemed
to be an acceptance by the licensees of the conditions of
this Order in Council.

Westland Land District.

vested in me by the two-hundred-and-twenty-fifth
section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito
Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Commissioners to classify and report to me upon the rural
land in the Westland Land District known as Run 20,
Paringa River; Run 47, Okura River; Run 87, Upper
Haast; Run 72, Mataketake and Clarke; Run 69, Cascade
River; Run 60, Oinetamatea; Run 446, Karangarua River;
Run 65, Moeraki River ; and Run 117, Karangarua Range
and Cassell's Flat: as provided by the said section two
hundred and twenty-five.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this second day of November, one thou-

Islands; and 214, Hunters Hills; as provided by the said
section two hundred and twenty-five.

Fixing Sittings of the Supreme Court in the Northern
Judicial District.
WE, five of the Judges of the Supreme Court of New
Zealand, in pursuance of the powers vested in us
by the Judicature Act, 1908, hereby make the following
rules respecting the places and times for holding sittings of
the Supreme Court and sittings in Chambers, in the
Northern Judicial District, for the year 1918:-
Sittings for the trial of civil actions will be held at the
Supreme Court House, AUCKLAND, to commence on the
following days, at 11 a.m.:-
Monday, 11th February.
Monday, 13th May.
Monday, 5th August.
Monday, 4th November.
Sittings for the trial of criminal cases will be held at the
Supreme Court House, AUCKLAND, to commence on the
following days, at 11 a.m. :-
Monday, 4th February.
Monday, 20th May.
Monday, 12th August.
Monday, 11th November.
The trial of causes under the Divorce and Matrimonial
Causes Act, 1908, may take place at any of the above-
mentioned sittings for the trial of civil actions.
Sittings of the Court in Banco will be held at the Court-
house, AUCKLAND, every Wednesday, at half past 10 o'clock
in the forenoon, except during vacation or the absence of
the Judge, or unless the Judge is engaged on other business.
Sittings in Chambers will be held at the Judge's Cham-
bers, in the Courthouse, AUCLAND, every Tuesday and
Friday, at half past 10 o'clock in the forenoon, except during
vacation or the absence of the Judge, or unless the Judge is
engaged on other business.
Sittings in Chambers at other times and in vacation,
in respect of urgent business, may be held at such times and
places as may suit the convenience of the Judge.
If any of the days above appointed for sittings should be a
public holiday, the sitting will commence on the first day
after the day so appointed which is not a holiday.
Given under our hands, at Wellington, this fifteenth
day of October, one thousand nine hundred and
