A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is
to be taken, under the Public Works Act,
1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1910, for
forest-plantation purposes in Block X, Tarawera Survey
District:
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law
to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such
land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been
observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zea-
land, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public
Works Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of forest-plantation;
and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the twentieth day of October, one thou-
sand nine hundred and seventeen.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of land in the Auckland Land District, being
Punaruku Island, situated in the western portion of Lake
Rotokakahi, in Block X, Tarawera Survey District, con-
taining 2 acres, more or less. As the same is delineated on
the plan marked P.W.D. 42554, deposited in the office of
the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wel-
lington Land District, and thereon edged red. (Auckland
Plan No. 53426, red.)

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred
and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it
is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation
publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government
road or any part thereof:
And whereas the Government roads described in the
Schedule hereto are no longer required for the purpose of
roads:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-
recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me
in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the roads
described in the Schedule hereto.

Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, Borough of Featherston.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of
October, 1917.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section
thirteen of the Municipal Corporations Amendment
Act, 1913, and of every other power and authority enabling
him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby direct that the Featherston Borough Council
shall defray all the costs incurred in connection with the
taking of a poll under the said Act on the twenty-sixth day
July, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, on the pro-
posal to constitute the Borough of Featherston.

defray all the costs incurred in connection with the taking
of a poll under the said Act on the thirteenth day of June,
one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, on the proposal
to constitute the Borough of Shannon.
