Establishment of Coal Trade Districts and Committees.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the authority conferred by the regulations made on the fifth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, under the War Regulations Amendment Act, 1916 (and known as the Coal Trade Regulations), as amended by further regulations made under the like authority on the twenty-eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby constitute the following coal trade districts for the purposes of the said Coal Trade Regulations, that is to say:—

  1. The Auckland Coal Trade District, comprising the Provincial District of Auckland.

  2. The Wellington Coal Trade District, comprising the Provincial Districts of Taranaki, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, and Marlborough, together with the County of Waimea in the Provincial District of Nelson, and all borough or town districts within the exterior boundaries of that county.

  3. The Christchurch Coal Trade District, comprising all that portion of the South Island which is bounded on the north by the Clarence River, on the south by the Waitaki River, on the west by the Southern Alps, and on the east by the sea.

And doth hereby appoint for the Auckland Coal District a Coal Trade Committee to be known as the Auckland Coal Trade Committee, consisting of the following persons, namely:—

EWEN WILLIAM ALISON, Esquire.
ERNEST ARTHUR CRAIG, Esquire.
JOHN DEMPSEY, Esquire.

And doth hereby appoint EWEN WILLIAM ALISON, Esquire, as the Chairman of the said Committee.
