THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fourth of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property of the Awaroa Riding of the Kawhia County (as described on page 2191 of the New Zealand Gazette of the 13th July, 1911); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 17th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above-written resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Kawhia County Council held on the 22nd day of September, 1917.

RESOLUTION.
THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Pahiatua Racing Club at a meeting held on the fourth day of September, 1917, at Pahiatua, with a recommendation by the Chairman of the Club, Mr. James McCardle, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by the Governor-General, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. James McCardle, the Chairman of the Club and the Meeting, moved, and Mr. E. B. Hare seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations should be adopted, and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to:—
PAHIATUA RACING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Pahiatua Racing Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Pahiatua Racecourse and grounds situate in the District of Pahiatua, and known as the Pahiatua Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely:—
(a.) Bookmakers.
(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference.
(c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
The foregoing regulations of the Pahiatua Racing Club were made and passed by the Pahiatua Racing Club on the fourth day of September, 1917, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between ROY PATTERSON FURNESS and GEOFFREY FURNESS, newspaper proprietors, printers, and publishers, carrying on business at Blenheim as Furness Bros., has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.
The business will hereafter be conducted by ROY PATTERSON FURNESS on his own account.
All accounts due to the firm of Furness Bros. will be received, and all debts owing by the said firm paid, by him.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
THE Partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned, GEORGE HENRY SUTCLIFFE and JAMES MOUNCE, has been dissolved as from the thirty-first day of May, 1917.

NOTICE is hereby given that by special resolution unanimously carried at a duly convened extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the company on the 23rd day of August, 1917, and unanimously confirmed at a duly convened extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the company on the 18th day of September, 1917, it was resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that Mr. AUBREY GUALTER, of Wellington, be appointed Liquidator.

THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Cromwell Jockey Club at a meeting held on the seventeenth day of December, 1916, at Cromwell, with a recommendation by the Chairman of the Club, Mr. E. Jolly, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by the Governor-General, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
