road-diversion in connection therewith :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-
eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above
mentioned.

FOR RAILWAY.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 2 roods 22·3 perches.
Portion of R.S. 4643, Block VI.
FOR ROAD-DIVERSION.
Approximate area of the piece of land: 1 acre 3 roods 25·8
perches.
Portion of R.S. 4643, Blocks V and VI.
Situated in Mairaki Survey District, Oxford County.

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 24899,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wel-
ington, and thereon coloured yellow and green.

Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 374
of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four of
the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as
“the said Act”), and by section fourteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being
satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly
completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority
of the said Act, the Governor-General may issue a Proclama-
tion that such land has become Crown land :
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in
the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf
of the Crown under the authority of the said Act :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and
seventy-four of the said Act, and by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William de
Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set
out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

PUTERE A 2 Block: Approximate area, 664 acres 2 roods
36 perches; Mangahopae Survey District.

Trunk Railway.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, con-
venience, or enjoyment of the Raetihi Branch of
the North Island Main Trunk Railway to take further land
in Makotuku Survey District, in addition to land previously
acquired for the purposes of the said railway :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and
one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act,
1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise
enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
taken for the purposes above mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken: 1 acre 0 roods
17·1 perches and 21·65 perches.
Portion of Section 24, Borough of Ohakune, situated in
Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42966,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
edged pink.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
