Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its Amendments.
To the owner of the following land, that is to say: All that parcel of land situated in the Provincial District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Lots 103 and 307 on deposited plan No. 83, Township of Sandon, and being the balance of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 15, folio 164, Wellington Land Registry.
The title was registered in the name of Samuel Carroll, of Wellington, Accountant, as trustee of the bankrupt estate of Robert Elliott, of Wellington, publican, who cannot now be traced.
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has been unable to find the whereabouts of the owner of the above-described land or of any agent of such owner in New Zealand:
Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls upon such owner, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to the said land; and if he fails or neglects so to do, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments.

Public Service Stores Tender Board.—Supply and Delivery of Stores.
Wellington, 18th September, 1917.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Chairman, General Post Office, Wellington, not later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the 21st November, 1917, for the supply and delivery, C.I.F., Wellington, of 30,000 insulator cups, 300 electric bells, 100 bell-tappers, 2,000 reams paper, 1,500 lb. gum arabic, 60 miles rubber insulated wire, and 208 reams brown paper.
Particulars and conditions of tendering may be obtained at the office of the Controller of Stores, Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington; the District Storekeeper, Post and Telegraph Department, Christchurch; or at the offices of the Telegraph Engineers at Auckland and Dunedin.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction for cash at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, at 10 o’clock a.m. on Wednesday, 21st November, 1917, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND COUNTY.—RURAL LAND.
SECTION 31A, Block VIII, Winton Hundred: Area, 20 acres; upset price, £40.
Low-lying level land of good quality, capable of improvement by clearing and draining. Situated two miles and a half north-east of Winton Township, the last half-mile of road being unformed.
Section 2, Block XVII, New River Hundred: Area, 92 acres 1 rood 20 perches; upset price, £30.
Poor land of wet and peaty nature, covered with swamp grass and moss. Access by formed and gravelled road, except last thirty chains unformed. Situated one mile and a quarter from Taramoa Post-office and nine miles and three-quarters from Invercargill.
