Districts constituted under the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Te Araroa and Waiapu Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into three registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Kahukura, Te Araroa, and Waiapu Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be conterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Marriage Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Te Araroa and Waiapu Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into three marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follows:—

KAHUKURA DISTRICT.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of a right line from Hikurangi Trig. Station to Cape Runaway, by another right line from Whanakaoa Trig. Station to the northernmost corner of Section 1, Block VIII, Raukumara Survey District; thence along that right line to the westernmost corner of the said Section 1, along the northern boundary of that section and of Wairongomai Block and the western boundary of Tangihanga Block to the Taurangakautuku River, along that river, the southern boundary of Whakaangiangi No. 4 Block, the western boundary of No. 5 and the northern boundaries of Whakaangiangi Nos. 5, 3B, 2B, 2A, 1B 1, 1A 1, and 1A 2 Blocks to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned block; thence along a right line through Trig. Station E to the coast near East Cape; thence along the seashore to the south-eastern corner of Ngamoe No. 4 Block, along the southern and western boundaries of that block and the north-eastern boundaries of Ngamoe No. 1 and B Blocks to a public road; thence westerly along the said road, intersecting Ngamoe B, Waitangi, and Puhunga Blocks to the Mata River, across and along the left bank of that river, along the Aorangiwai Stream, the northern boundary of Section 1, Block I, Mata Survey District, and the northern boundary of Forest Reserve to Hikurangi Trig. Station; and thence along a right line in

ERRATA.—In the description of the boundaries of Waihi Domain, published in Gazette No. 136, of the 30th August, 1917, page 3337, for “4333·7 links” read “4103·7 links.”

In the Order in Council revoking a license authorizing Hugh Mostyn Trevor, Settler, Ohakune, to use water from the Makaranui Creek for the purpose of generating electricity, published in Gazette No. 141, page 3542, of 13th September, 1917, for the words “one thousand nine hundred and sixteen” where they first occur in such Order read “one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.”
