MURCHISON COUNTY COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, public notice is given that at a meeting of the Murchison County Council held on the 25th August, 1917, it was resolved that Part II of the said Act be brought into operation within the district of the Murchison County on Monday, 8th October, 1917.

WAVERLEY-WAITOTARA RACING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Waverley-Waitotara Racing Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to the Waverley Racecourse, situate at Waverley, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings:—

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meaning assigned to such terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the said Waverley Racecourse while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely:—
(a.) Bookmakers.
(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated with the Racing Conference of New Zealand.
(c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
The foregoing regulations of the Waverley-Waitotara Racing Club were made and passed by the said club at a general meeting of the club held at Waverley on the 27th day of August, 1917, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

WAIRAU ROAD BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Wairau Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a bridge over the Tummil River, the said Wairau Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of a special-rating area comprising Allotments 5, 6A, 6B, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 12B, 13A. 13B, and 14 of Avondale Estate, as shown on plans deposited in the Lands Registry Office at Blenheim, numbered 661, 662, 633, 664, and 665, situated in Blocks 13, 17, 21, 22, Avon Survey District, Blocks 5 and 10, Hodder Survey District, Blocks 4 and 8, Sprey Survey District, and being part of the Waihopai Subdivision of the Wairau Road District; such rate to be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and extract from the minutes of the proceedings of the Wairau Road Board as passed at a meeting of the said Board on the third day of August, 1917.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between LENNOX MACMILLAN BARR and JOSEPH DOHERTY, carrying on business as Farmers at Moonlight, under the style of “Barr and Doherty,” has been dissolved as from the twenty-eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
