[Land in Nelson Land District declared to be subject to Section 127 of the Land Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Land Board of the Nelson Land District has recommended that the Crown tenant of the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto should be afforded relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over which he has no control preventing the profitable occupation of such land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies’ Empowering Act, 1911, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-seven of the Land Act, 1908; and I do further fix three years from the date mentioned in the said Schedule as the period for which the said land shall be exempt from payment of rent.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTIONS 20, 22, 30, 31, Block X, Wai-iti Survey District: 1st July, 1917.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this sixth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Additional Land taken for a Branch Railway from the East Coast Main Trunk Railway from a Point in Repongaere A Block to a Quarry in Section 79, Block IV, Patutahi Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of the branch railway from the East Coast Main Trunk Railway from a point in Repongaere A Block to a quarry in Section 79, Block IV, Patutahi Survey District, to take further land in Patutahi Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 20 perches.
Portion of Section 80, situated in Block IV, Patutahi Survey District (Poverty Bay R.D.).

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42855, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

ERRATUM.—In the Schedule to the Proclamation setting apart Crown land in Block VI, Culverden Survey District, for the purposes of a gravel-pit, published in Gazette No. 127, page 3170, of 9th August, 1917, for “portion of Reserve 3995” read “Reserve 3995.”
