Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Blocks I and
II, Pakaumanu, and XIV, Mangaorongo Survey Districts,
Waitomo County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes
of a road in Blocks I and II, Pakaumanu, and XIV,
Mangaorongo Survey Districts, Waitomo County:
And whereas the Waitomo County Council has laid
before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by
a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by
the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908,
and the Counties Act, 1908, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do
also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on
and after the fifteenth day of September, one thousand nine
hundred and seventeen.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the pur-
poses of a road in Blocks VII and VIII, Ngautuku, and II,
Ateamuri Survey Districts:
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law
to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such
land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been
observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908,
and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling
me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the purposes of a road; and I do also hereby declare that
this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day
of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Land for the Pur-
poses of Street-widening in Block VII, Port Nicholson
Survey District, City of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909,
it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or
making of any Proclamation taking land under the Public
Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any
compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found
that the land or any part thereof is not required for the
purpose for which it was taken, or that any error in form
or substance exists in or in relation to that Proclamation or
the making or gazetting thereof, the Governor-General may,
by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former
Proclamation, either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary:
And whereas it is found that portion of land taken for the
purposes of street-widening in Block VII, Port Nicholson
Survey District, City of Wellington, by a Proclamation made
under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the sixteenth day
of June, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen (hereinafter
termed “the said Proclamation”), and published in the New
Zealand Gazette No. 77, page 2118, of the twenty-fourth day
