Karewa Island, in the Bay of Plenty, to be a Sanctuary for Imported and Native Game.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare Karewa Island, in the Bay of Plenty, to be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Animals Protection Act, and that no imported or native game shall be taken or killed in the said area.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this fourteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Appointment of Representative to Nelson Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section twenty-one of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

a representative of the combined district of Waimea and Murchison Counties and the Borough of Motueka on the Nelson Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.

Bilharziosis declared to be an Infectious Disease.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of section twelve of the Public Health Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the disease called or known as bilharziosis, or blood-fluke infection, or Egyptian hæmaturia, or endemic hæmaturia, or bilharzia hæmatobia disease, to be an infectious disease within the meaning of the said Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Setting apart Portion of Hamilton Borough as a Site for the Deposit and Disposal of Nightsoil.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section sixty-two of the Public Health Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby consent to portion of Section 25, East Belt, Hamilton Borough, being set apart as a site for the deposit and disposal of nightsoil.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of Portion of a Quarantine Reserve in Waimea Survey District, Nelson Land District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve heretofore duly set apart for quarantine purposes, being a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule to the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the portion of the said reserve should be changed to a reserve for a rifle range:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, aforesaid, declare my intention to change the purpose of the portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from quarantine purposes to a reserve for a rifle range.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 48 acres, more or less, and being part of Section 34 of Square 1 in Block III, Waimea Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by high-water mark along the shore of Tasman Bay; towards the north-east generally by a road forming the north-west boundary of the Public Hospital Reserve (being part of Section 34), by the said reserve, and by a proposed road leading thereto through the said Section 34; towards the south-east by a road forming the north-west boundary of Section 86; and towards the south generally by high-water mark along the shore of an inlet from the estuary of the Waimea River. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/11/3, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and bordered green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this tenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Primary Education Endowment in Tokatoka Parish, Auckland Land District, set apart as a Site for a Public School.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section five of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1911, it is enacted that the Governor may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, set apart as sites for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any part of such reserves or endowments:

And whereas the Land Board of the Auckland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the primary education endowment described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the primary education endowment described in the Schedule hereto as a site for a public school.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Allotment 92 (part of original Allotment 15), Parish of Tokatoka. Bounded towards the north-west by Allotment 15, 631·1 links; towards the east generally by a public road, 848·6 and 69·4 links; towards the west generally by a road, 547·3 and 289·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/120, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan No. 19280.)

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this thirteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
