I, WILLIAM DOUGLAS FITZGERALD, M.B., Bac. Surg., 1917, Univ. N.Z., now residing in Wellington, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 3rd September next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Wellington.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and its amendments; and in the matter of NEW ZEALAND GREENSTONE (LIMITED), ex parte THE DISPATCH FOUNDRY COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of New Zealand Greenstone (Limited) by the Supreme Court was on Friday, the 27th day of July, 1917, presented to His Honour Mr. Justice Denniston, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by the Dispatch Foundry Company (Limited), a company duly incorporated, having its registered office in Greymouth, a creditor of New Zealand Greenstone (Limited). And the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 17th day of August, 1917, at Christchurch. And any creditor or contributory of New Zealand Greenstone (Limited) desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of such company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose. And a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of New Zealand Greenstone (Limited) requiring same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution was duly passed by the members of the company at a duly convened extraordinary general meeting thereof held on the 12th day of July, 1917, and duly confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting of the company held on the 2nd day of August, 1917, viz. :

“That the company be wound up voluntarily; and that Mr. JAMES EDWARD FULTON, of Wellington, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

INGLEWOOD OIL BORING AND PROSPECTING COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolutions were passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the company held on the 19th day of June, 1917, and confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting of the company held on the 10th day of July, 1917, viz. :

  1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
  2. That CHARLES FREDERICK FOOTE be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the affairs of the company and distributing its assets, and that his remuneration be 5 per cent. on the assets realized, with a minimum of £25.

MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Mangonui County Council hereby resolves as follows :

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Mangonui County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for repairing roads, culverts, and bridges destroyed through flood damage through the county, the said Mangonui County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/12th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mangonui County, comprising the whole of the County of Mangonui; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and extract from the minutes of the proceedings of the Mangonui County Council as passed at a meeting of the said Council at Mangonui on the twelfth day of July, 1917.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between WILLIAM JAUMARD LE CREN and JAMES BAIN LAURENSON, carrying on business at Christchurch under the style of “The Crown Ironworks Company,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the date hereof so far as regards the said JAMES BAIN LAURENSON, who retires from the said firm.

TUAKAU TOWN BOARD.

COPY OF MINUTE OF MEETING OF TUAKAU TOWN BOARD HELD ON TUESDAY, 3RD JULY, 1917.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Tuakau Town Board hereby resolves as follows :

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of two thousand pounds (£2,000), being part of the Tuakau Town Board loan of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000), authorized by the ratepayers to be raised by the Tuakau Town Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the following purposes, —

(a.) Grading, forming, kerbing, channelling asphalt footpaths and macadamizing the following streets—
(1.) George Street from Railway-station to saleyards,
(2.) Liverpool Street,
(3.) Bollard Road to southern side of road through Madill Subdivision .. .. £ 2,400

(b.) Grading, forming, bridging, culverting, graveling footpath, and metalling 16 ft. wide George Street from saleyards to town district boundary .. .. .. 3,300

(c.) Metalling Cole’s Road .. .. .. 50

(d.) Grading and metalling Whangarata Road from its junction with George Street .. .. 250

(e.) Kerbing, channelling, laying in footpath, and metalling the road through Mr. Madill’s subdivision from Bollard Road .. .. 250
