bours Act, 1908, license Mrs. Eliza Wallen, of Mangonui, to use and occupy a part of the foreshore at Taipa River, Mangonui Harbour, in order to maintain thereon a store-house erected in accordance with plans marked M.D. 1938 and 1939, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, and upon and subject to the terms and conditions therein set forth :
And whereas it is desirable that the said license should be revoked :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Harbours Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke and determine the said recited Order in Council of the tenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and the rights and privileges thereby conferred.

Revoking Order in Council making Regulation prescribing Close Season for Carp in the Rotorua Acclimatization District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of July, 1917.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fifteenth day of the same month, a regulation was made prescribing a close season for carp in the Rotorua Acclimatization District: And whereas it is desirable that the said Order in Council should be revoked :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council dated the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Certain Land in Maketu Survey District declared a Sanctuary for Native Game.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto, the property of Mr. Matthews, shall be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Animals Protection Act, and that no native game shall be taken or killed within the said area.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north by the road forming the northern boundary of Section 15, Block VII, Maketu Survey District; towards the east by the road forming the eastern boundary of that section to the southernmost corner of Paengaroa North C 3 Block; thence towards the north-west by Paengaroa North C 3 and C 2 Blocks; towards the north-east by Section 16, Block VII aforesaid; towards the south-east by the Pokopoko Stream; towards the south-west by Paengaroa South Block; and towards the west by the Kaituna River.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this seventeenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Special Regulations for Deer-shooting, Wellington.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the conditions under which certain red-deer may be destroyed in the following parts of the Wellington Acclimatization District, namely:—
All that area commencing at the Onoke Lake, thence northward along the west side of the Wairarapa Lake to Featherston, thence along the railway-line to Eketahuna, thence eastward in a direct line to the sea at Castlepoint, thence northward along the coast to the Waimata River, thence in a direct line westward to Mangatainoka, thence westward to Palmerston North, thence along the railway-line to Paekakariki, thence south-east to the sea at Petone, thence along the coast to the point of commencement at the Onoke Lake.
Also all that area within a line commencing at the mouth of the Kawhatau River, thence westward along the river to its source at the summit of the Ruahine Ranges, thence northward to Motopuha, thence westward to Te Rotoiti, thence southward to Moawhango, thence to the point of commencement at the mouth of the Kawhatau River.
REGULATIONS.

NOTWITHSTANDING anything contained in the regulations made under the Animals Protection Act, 1908, the secretary of the Wellington Acclimatization Society at Wellington, or any person or persons duly authorized in writing by such secretary, may, during the period hereinafter mentioned, kill within the said areas red-deer of either sex and of any age which in the opinion of the said secretary or of the said authorized persons should be destroyed either by reason of age, deformity, or other physical imperfection.

Such deer may be destroyed as aforesaid during a period of two months from the date hereof.

A return shall be furnished to the Minister of Internal Affairs by the said secretary within one calendar month after the expiry of the aforesaid period, and such return shall state the number and sexes of all red-deer so destroyed as aforesaid, the dates, and name of the person by whom and the locality in which the deer were destroyed, together with a statement of the money received from the sale of such deer.

The bodies of such deer may be sold either by auction or otherwise and the proceeds devoted to the “Red Cross Fund.”

Any person who commits a breach of any of the provisions of these regulations shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding £20.

Postmasters appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.
PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
