The foregoing regulations of the Inangahua Trotting Club were made and adopted by the said club at its meeting held on the 14th day of June, 1917, and signed by—

RESOLUTION.

THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Waimate Plains Trotting Club at a meeting held on the 15th day of June, 1917, at Hawera, with a recommendation by the Chairman of the Club, Mr. A. W. Webster, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.

Mr. A. W. Webster, the Chairman of the Club and of the meeting, moved, “That it be and hereby is resolved, that such regulations be adopted, and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.

The motion was seconded by Mr. J. R. Corrigan, and carried.

The following are the regulations above referred to:—

WAIMATE PLAINS TROTTING CLUB.

REGULATIONS.

(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Waimate Plains Trotting Club, a trotting club within the meaning of the said Act, and hereinafter referred to as “the said club,” doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the racecourse reserve situate at Normanby Road, Hawera, and set apart for racing purposes, and known as the Egmont Racecourse, while the same is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

  1. In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “trotting club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

  2. The following persons shall be and hereby are excluded from the said racecourse while the same is used or occupied by the said club for racing purposes, namely:—

(a.) Bookmakers.

(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Trotting Association.

(c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.

(d.) Professional sweep-promoters.

The foregoing regulations of the Waimate Plains Trotting Club were made and adopted by the said club at its meeting held on the fifteenth day of June, 1917, and signed by—

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between CHARLES ALLAN HENDERSON and WILLIAM HENDERSON, carrying on business as Farmers at Wright’s Bush, Southland, under the style or firm of “Henderson Bros.,” has been dissolved as from the twenty-first day of June, 1917.

All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the undersigned CHARLES ALLAN HENDERSON, by whom the business will in future be carried on.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between the undersigned GEORGE WEBB, SAMUEL WEBB, and FRANCIS WEBB, of Brunswick, Farmers, under the style of “Webb Brothers,” has been dissolved by mutual consent so far as the said GEORGE WEBB is concerned. The business will be carried on under the same name of “Webb Brothers” by the undersigned SAMUEL WEBB and FRANCIS WEBB, who will receive all moneys and discharge all liabilities of the Partnership.
