LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

NOTICE is hereby given that the parcels of land hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions of the Land Transfer Act, 1915, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or before 13th August, 1917.

  1. JOHN ALBERT ENDEAN.—Part Allotments 13 and 14, Section 17, City of Auckland, containing 29·4 perches, fronting Custom Street West, together with a right-of-way over other part of said Allotments 13 and 14. Occupied by Applicant. Plan 10280.

  2. THE RAGLAN CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY (LIMITED).—Lots 1, 1A, and 2 to 7 (inclusive) of Section 1, Town of Raglan East, being part of Allotment 35, Parish of Whaingaroa, containing 1 acre 3 roods 15 perches. Occupied by Applicant. Plan 10795.

EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of Memorandum of Lease No. 3481, affecting part of Section 733 of the City of Christchurch, part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 304, folio 64, whereof WILLIAM BARNETT, of Christchurch, Chemist, is the registered lessee, and application having been made to me to register a certain dealing affecting the said memorandum of lease, I hereby give notice that it is my intention to register such dealing, dispensing with the production of the said outstanding duplicate, at the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

EVIDENCE having been furnished of the re-entry and recovery of possession by the lessor of the land in Memorandum of Lease No. 3478, from THE SCHOOL COMMISSIONERS OF THE OTAGO PROVINCIAL DISTRICT to MARY ANN O’DONNELL, now vested in SAMUEL STEVENSON CAIN, being Allotment 29A on the public map of the Totara Settlement, I hereby give notice of my intention to notify such re-entry and recovery of possession on the folium of the Register-book for the said land at the expiration of one month from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

SUMNER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Sumner Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the Sumner Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purchase of the Sumner Town Hall and Municipal Chambers, the said Sumner Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five twenty-eighths of a penny (5/28d.) in the £1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Sumner, comprising the whole of the Borough of Sumner; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Sumner Borough Council held on Monday, the 2nd day of July, 1917.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waipawa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Waipawa County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for reconstructing the Lindsay Water-race, the said Waipawa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Lindsay Water-race Special-rating Area, comprising part Sections 2/8, Block IV, Sections 19/39/165, Block VIII, Ruataniwha Survey District; Sections 3/5, 9, 12, 18, Block V, Waipukurau Survey District. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of September in each and every year, equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of and extract from the minutes of the proceedings of the Waipawa County Council as passed at a meeting of the said Council at Waipawa on the 4th day of May, 1917.
