A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Marriage Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage district known as the Kawhia District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follows :—
KAWHIA DISTRICT.
All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-west generally by the Aotea Harbour and the north-western boundary of the Moerangi and Matakowhai Block to the south-western boundary of Raglan County; thence towards the east generally by that county to Mahaukura Trig. Station, a right line thence to Te Ake-o-Hikopiro Trig. Station, and a right line to the easternmost corner of Section 1, Block VI, Pirongia Survey District; by the eastern boundary of that section, the eastern boundaries of Sections 1, 2, and 5, Block IX, and the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 6 and Te Rau-a-Moa Village to the northernmost corner of Section 8; thence towards the south generally by that section and Sections 12 and 11, Block IX aforesaid, and Section 2, Block XII, Kawhia North Survey District, to Te Kauri Stream, by that stream and Kawhia Harbour to the sea; and towards the west by the sea to Aotea Harbour, the place of commencement.
WAIHARAKEKE DISTRICT.
All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north by Kawhia Harbour from the sea to Te Kauri Stream, and by that stream to Section 2, Block XII, Kawhia North Survey District; thence by the northern boundary of that section and the northern boundaries of Sections 11, 12, and 8, Block IX, Pirongia Survey District, and the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 6 to the junction of roads at the easternmost corner of Te Rau-a-Moa Village; thence by the northern boundaries of Sections 1, 4, 7, and 8, Block X, Pirongia Survey District; thence towards the east generally by the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section to its south-eastern corner; thence by a right line to the north-eastern corner of Section 1, Block XIV, Pirongia Survey District, by the eastern boundary of that section and the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 1 and 2, Block II, Orahiri Survey District, and the northern boundary of Section 1A to its easternmost corner, by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 1A, 5, and 7, Block II aforesaid, and the eastern boundaries of Blocks VI, X, and XIV, Orahiri Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the said Block XIV; thence towards the south generally by the southern boundaries of Orahiri and Kawhia South Survey Districts to the northernmost corner of Section 3, Block IV, Maungamangero Survey District; thence by the production of the north-western boundary of that section to the southern boundary of Section 6, Block XVI, Kawhia South Survey District (Small Grazing-run 26); thence by Blocks XV, XIV, and XIII, Kawhia South Survey District, to the Marakopa River, and by that river to the sea; and thence towards the west generally by the sea to Kawhia Harbour, the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the thirty-first day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

ERRATUM.—In the twenty-fourth and thirty-fifth lines of the first column of the Schedule to the Proclamation taking land for a further portion of the Waiuku Branch of the North Island Main Trunk Railway and for road-diversions in connection therewith, published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 98, page 2320, of the 14th June, 1917, for “1 acre 0 roods 0·5 perches and 0 acres 1 rood 32·82 perches” read “1 acre 0 roods 0·05 perches and 0 acres 1 rood 31·82 perches” respectively.
