maintenance during his absence from his usual place of residence shall be the same as that allowed under the regulation for travelling-allowances.

If any officer interviews or communicates with any member of the Board, either directly or indirectly, in reference to any appeal which such officer has made, or may be about to make, such appeal shall not be considered by the Board.

The Chairman of the Board shall, as soon as possible after the appeal has been considered, forward the decision of the Board, together with all papers in connection with the appeal, to the Commissioner, who shall keep them as records of his office.

The Board shall notify the appellant of the result of his appeal.

Where, in the opinion of the Commissioner, the decision of the Board of Appeal in favour of an appellant may properly be applied in the case of any other officer or officers, the Commissioner may extend to such officer or officers the same advantage as has been granted to the appellant.
