Declaring Portion of Road in Block V, Karioi Survey District, to be a Government Road.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eighteenth day of June, 1917.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road declared a Government road: 6 acres 0 roods 22 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Section 33 C.L., Block V, Karioi Survey District.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42385, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Horowhenua County Patriotic Association incorporated under the War Funds Act, 1915.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twelve of the War Funds Act, 1915 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor may, by Order in Council gazetted, incorporate a society possessing a war fund, or the trustees of such fund: And whereas application, in writing addressed to the Minister, has been made by the Horowhenua County Patriotic Association (being a society possessing a war fund), praying for the incorporation of that society:
And whereas it is considered desirable to grant such application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the association known as the Horowhenua County Patriotic Association is hereby incorporated for the purposes of the said Act as from the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, and shall be known as the “Horowhenua County Patriotic Association.”

Validating Proceedings in connection with a Loan of £1,000 proposed to be raised by the Council of the County of Franklin.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Franklin County Council, acting under and in pursuance of section sixteen (e) of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, lately proposed to raise a loan of one thousand pounds for the purpose of forming and metalling Arrowsville Road within the Akaaka Special-rating Area: And whereas the ratepayers’ consent given under section sixteen (e) aforesaid is irregular, in that one of the subscribing ratepayers has attested the signatures of the other subscribers thereto: And whereas the said ratepayers have not been in any way misled by the said irregularity, and it is expedient that the irregularity should be validated:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the ratepayers’ consent shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the signatures to the same had been properly witnessed, and that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall not be called into question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.
