WELLINGTON, TUESDAY, JUNE 19, 1917.
Notice under the War Regulations declaring certain Companies, Firms,
and Persons to be Enemies; also removing Others from List.
WHEREAS the Attorney-General for the Dominion of New Zealand
is satisfied that the companies, firms, and persons mentioned in
the First Schedule hereto are carrying on business to a substantial
extent for the benefit of alien enemies resident out of New Zealand:
Now, therefore, I, Alexander Lawrence Herdman, His Majesty’s
Attorney-General for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in
pursuance of clause 20 of the War Regulations of the 3rd day of April,
1916, under the War Regulations Act, 1914, declare each of the com-
panies, firms, and persons mentioned in the First Schedule hereto to be
an enemy; and do also, in pursuance of the said clause 20, revoke the
notice in the Gazette of the 4th and 26th May, the 30th June, the 11th
August, the 6th and 19th September, and the 7th and 24th October,
1916, and the 5th February, the 16th March, the 27th April, and the
16th May, 1917, declaring certain companies, firms, and persons to be
enemies in so far as they relate to the companies, firms, and persons
mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto.
