that the said land should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained in the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereunder shall be a reserve for scenic purposes under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and subject to the provisions thereof.

ALL those areas in the Canterbury Land District, situated in Block II, Orari Survey District, as follows :—

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands specified in the Schedule hereto are State forests under the control of the Commissioner of State Forests appointed under the State Forests Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and the said lands are now no longer required for State-forest purposes: And whereas plans showing the extent and position of the said lands, and a statement of the reasons why they are no longer required for State-forest purposes, have been laid before both Houses of Parliament for a period of thirty days, and no resolution has been passed by either of such Houses objecting to the issue of this Proclamation :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twenty-eight of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Proclamations specified in the said Schedule, so far as they relate to the lands described in the said Schedule, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette; and doth hereby proclaim and declare that from and after such date the parcels of land described in the said Schedule shall be no longer subject to the provisions of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 23 acres 2 roods, more or less, being part Section No. 8, Block II, Omona Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section 10, Block II, Omona Survey District, 467 links; towards the east by Section 10, Block II, Omona Survey District, 3206·9 links; towards the south and west generally by the Waitiri Road, 5689·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 48333A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Proclamation dated the 23rd day of September, 1895, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 72, page 1527, of the 26th day of September, 1895.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 171 acres, more or less, situated in Block XIV, Wakamarina Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by remaining portion of State forest, 3420 links; towards the north by Mountain Camp Creek; towards the east by remaining portion of State forest, 8820 links; towards the south-east and south-west by a reserve for the growth and preservation of timber, 1206·5 links; towards the south-west by Section 2, Block II, Onamalutu Survey District, 1451·5 links; and towards the north-west by Crown lands (area withdrawn from State forest, New Zealand Gazette No. 14, pages 642–3, of the 26th February, 1914), 10815·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/132, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Proclamation dated the 2nd day of March, 1887, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 23, page 439, of the 7th day of April, 1887.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the State Forests Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the forest land described in the Schedule hereto, forming part of the Crown lands in New Zealand, as and for a State forest within the provisions of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing approximately 12,600 acres, being all the bush lands in Blocks X, XI, XIII, and XIV, Rowallan Survey District, excepting sections already surveyed. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1645, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
