Stopping a Government Road in Block I, Whangape Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:

And whereas the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped: 1 acre 3 roods 2 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Section 35, E.R., Block I, Whangape Survey District (S.O. 18938).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 40392, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Prisoners Detention Act.—Prison at Invercargill proclaimed a Prison Hospital.

[L.S.] LIVERPOOL, Governor.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Prisoners Detention Act, 1915, it is provided that the Governor may by Proclamation declare any hospital, or any part of a hospital or of a prison or police-gaol, to be a prison hospital for the purpose of that Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that the prison situate in Lifey Street, Invercargill, and known as the Invercargill Prison, shall be a prison hospital within the meaning and for the purpose of the Prisoners Detention Act, 1915.
