And whereas it is expedient that the said land should cease to be subject to Part XV of the said Act :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section ninety-six of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall no longer be subject to Part XV of the Native Land Act, 1909.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 22 acres, more or less, situated in the Kaipara Survey District, in the Land District of Auckland, and known as Otakanini K No. 2. Bounded on the north-west by the Haranui Creek, on the west by Otakanini E, on the south by the Otakanini-Helensville Road, and on the east by Otakanini T.

Declaring Portion of Road in Block I, Whangape Survey District, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this third day of July, 1916.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road declared a Government road: 1 acre 3 roods 2 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Section 35, E.R., Block I, Whangape Survey District (S.O. 18938).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 40392, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Declaring a Native to be a European.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of July, 1916.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section seventeen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1912, it is enacted that the Governor may by Order in Council, on the recommendation of the Native Land Court, declare any Native to be a European :

And whereas Richard Fairfax Tukino Grace, of Wellington, being a Native within the meaning of the Native Land Act, 1909, applied in the prescribed form for a recommendation of the Court that he might be declared a European : And whereas the said Court, having duly inquired into the said application, has recommended that an Order in Council be issued declaring the said Richard Fairfax Tukino Grace to be a European : And whereas it is expedient that such declaration should be made :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on him by section seventeen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1912, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare the said Richard Fairfax Tukino Grace, of Wellington, to be a European.

Prohibiting all Private Alienation of certain Native Land.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of July, 1916.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienations of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Revocation of an Order in Council under Section 296 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of July, 1916.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section two hundred and ninety-six of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under Part XVI of that Act, or under Part II of the Native Land Settlement Act, 1907, may be at any time revoked, either wholly or as to any part or part of the land included therein, by the Governor by Order in Council ; and thereupon the land so subject to that Part of that Act shall, to the extent of that revocation, cease to be so subject : No land shall by reason of any such order of revocation cease to be subject to that Part of that Act at any time during the continuance of the term of any lease of that land granted by a Maori Land Board under that Part of that Act (including in that term the term of any renewal to which the lessee is entitled) :
