Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block X, Gordon Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

W HEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a road in Block X, Gordon Survey District:

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said road; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken:—

6 0 24, portion of Reserve B, Upper Motueka Original.
1 3 33 " Section 11.

Situated in Block X, Gordon Survey District.

In the Nelson Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39932, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured pink.

(Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Land for the Purposes of Streets in Block I, Otahuhu Survey District, City of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

W HEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or making of any Proclamation taking land under the Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was taken, or that any error in form or substance exists in or in relation to that Proclamation, or the making or gazetting thereof, the Governor may, by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation, either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary:

And whereas it is found that the Proclamation taking land for the purposes of streets in Block I, Otahuhu Survey District, City of Auckland, made under the Public Works Act, 1908, and dated the eighteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen (hereinafter termed “the said Proclamation”), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 47, page 1109, of the twentieth day of the same month, contains an error in substance and in the making and gazetting thereof: And whereas compensation in respect of the taking of the land described in the Schedule hereto has not been paid or awarded:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land referred to:—

0 0 1·09, portion of Allotment 4; coloured vermilion.
0 0 7·41 " 4 " blue.
0 0 7·47 " 4 " yellow.

Situated in Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, Block I, Otahuhu Survey District (S.O. 18558).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39386, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

W HEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purpose of depositing spoil from the Mount Cook Reserve and for other purposes:

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1915, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the aforesaid purposes; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twentieth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39940, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
