THE following special order, made by the Rodney County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order merging Matakana West Road District in Rodney County.

At a special meeting of the Rodney County Council held on Thursday, 23rd March, 1916, the following resolution was carried:—

That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 31 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Rodney County Council, on a petition of a majority of the ratepayers of the Matakana West Road District, resolves by way of special order that the said Matakana West Road District shall be merged in the Rodney County, and the Matakana West Road Board abolished.

Confirmed at a meeting of the Rodney County Council held on the 27th day of April, 1916.

Notice respecting Proposed Drainage District, Hauraki, Counties of Ohinemuri and Thames.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 29th June, 1916.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, under the Land Drainage Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be constituted a drainage district under the said Act, by name the Drainage District of Hauraki. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the constitution of the said drainage district which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF PROPOSED DRAINAGE DISTRICT OF HAURAKI:

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Waihou River, being the north-eastern corner of the Wharetoa Block; thence along the northern boundary of that block and the north-eastern boundary of Pirau West Block to its northernmost corner; thence along the western boundaries of Pirau West, Wharemaoho, Ngataipua, Te Awamawhanga, Kaipapaka, Oparia No. 1, Rautawhiri, Haerewatea No. 2, Haerewatea, Raupoiti No. 2, Raupoiti No. 3, Awakahawai, Ngaruerue, Kairere, Tahanui, Kauri, Motumotuahi, Putanui, Urumatonga, Manuka, and Kurunui Blocks to the easternmost corner of Section 3, Block VII, Waihou Survey District; thence along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 3, 4, 5, and 6, Block VII aforesaid, and that boundary produced to Wairau No. 3 Block; thence along the northern and north-eastern boundaries of that block, the northern and eastern boundaries of Kaikahu No. 1B 1 and the eastern boundary of Kaikahu No. 1B 2 Block, and that boundary produced to Te Awaiti No. 2C 1 Block; along part of the northern boundary of that block and the western boundary of Kaikahu No. 4 Block to Allotment 6 on plan No. 8682 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; along the southern boundaries of Allotments 6, 5, and 3 on plan No. 8682 aforesaid to the left bank of the Waihou River; and thence along the left bank of that river to the north-eastern corner of the Wharetoa Block, the place of commencement.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Ohinemuri River where it is intersected by the southern boundary of the Borough of Paeroa; thence along the southern boundary of that borough to the Paeroa-Waihi Railway line, along that railway-line to the Tapuariki Block, along the western boundary of that block and part of the northern boundary of the Wairahaki Block to and across the Te Aroha Road, and along the western side of that road to the northern boundary of Rotokohu No. 5 Block; thence along the northern boundary of that block, the eastern and northern boundaries of Rotokohu No. 2 Block, the northern boundary of Taumatawahine No. 1, the northern and western boundaries of Taumatawahine No. 2, the south-western boundary of Taumatawahine No. 3 Block, and that boundary produced to the right bank of the Waihou River; thence along the right bank of that river to the road which intersects Moanakapiti No. 2D and C Blocks; thence along the western side of that road to the junction of roads in the latter block; thence easterly along the southern side of the road intersecting the said Moanakapiti C Block and forming the northern boundary of Puamunuka No. 2 Block to the Ohinemuri River, and along the left bank of that river to the southern boundary of the Borough of Paeroa, the place of commencement.
