THE following special order, made by the Taranaki
County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

TARANAKI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order dissolving Moa Road Board and fixing Day of Election consequent on Alteration of Boundaries.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by
section 16 of the Road Boards Act, 1908, the Taranaki
County Council hereby resolves:—
That, consequent on the alteration of the boundaries of
the Moa Road District, the Board thereof shall on the 5th
day of June, 1916, be dissolved; and that a general election
of members of the Board shall take place on Wednesday,
the 28th June, 1916; and that Mr. R. Buckley shall be the
Returning Officer to conduct such election.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the County of Taranaki was affixed hereto by
the Chairman, Joseph Brown, duly authorized by resolution
of the Council passed on the 5th day of June, 1916.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of the Hutt River District.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 21st June, 1916.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented
to His Excellency the Governor, under section 4 of the
River Boards Amendment Act, 1913, by the Hutt River
Board, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto
may be included in the Hutt River District. All persons
affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objec-
tions to or petitions against the proposed alteration within
one month from the first publication of this notice.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN HUTT RIVER DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by
a line commencing at the south-western corner of Section 45,
Block X, Belmont Survey District; thence along the southern
boundary of that section and part of the western boundary
of Section 231 to Section 230, along the north-western bound-
aries of Sections 230, 439, and 440, Block X aforesaid, along
the south-eastern boundary of Section 41, Block XIV, and
along the eastern boundary of the Hutt River District as
described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 15th December,
1910, page 4205, to the place of commencement.

Notice to Importers of Sardines.
Customs Department,
Wellington, 21st June, 1916.
IT is hereby notified for general information that, owing
to a judgment of the Divisional Court of the High Court
of Justice of Great Britain, it has become unlawful to apply
the term “sardine” to any fish other than the immature
pilchard. Norwegian brisling or sprats cannot be described
as “sardines,” and importers are warned that on and after
the 1st day of January, 1917, no fish wrongly labelled or
described as “sardines” will be permitted to be imported
into New Zealand.
Previous notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of
the 13th April, 1916, is modified as above.

Result of Election of Trustee of a Drainage District.

THE following result of the election of a trustee of a
drainage district has been received from the Return-
ing Officer, and is published in accordance with the provisions
of the Land Drainage Act, 1908.

The Public Service Superannuation Act, 1908.—Election of a Member of the Board to represent Contributors belonging to the Post and Telegraph Department.
NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary vacancy
having been created, an election will be held for the
purpose of electing as a member of the Public Service Super-
annuation Board one person from among the contributors
to the fund who belong to the Post and Telegraph Depart-
ment; and notice is further given that—
(1.) The said election will be held on Monday, the 14th
day of August, 1916, at the Public Service Superannuation
Board’s Office, Wellington.
(2.) The poll will be closed at 5 o’clock p.m.
(3.) Nominations will be closed on Monday, 17th July,
1916, at 5 o’clock p.m., and the voting-lists will be closed
on that day.
(4.) Candidates must be nominated by two other contri-
butors belonging to the Post and Telegraph Department.
The nomination-paper must be in the form prescribed by
regulation, and must contain the consent of the candidate
to his nomination.
