HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the New Zealand Staff Corps, the Regiment of Royal New Zealand Artillery, and Territorial Force :—
New Zealand Staff Corps.
Captain Andrew Haitley Burn is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and is absorbed into the establishment. Dated 26th May, 1916.
Captain Cecil Lyttelton Hawkins resigns his commission. Dated 31st March, 1916.
The Regiment of Royal New Zealand Artillery.
Honorary Lieutenant Robert George Vining Parker, Artillery Store Accountant, to be Quartermaster and Honorary Lieutenant. Dated 17th June, 1913.
Honorary Lieutenant George John Parrell, Engineer Store Accountant, to be Quartermaster and Honorary Lieutenant. Dated 17th June, 1913.

Major James Prendeville to temporarily command the 9th (Wellington East Coast) Mounted Rifles during the absence of Lieutenant-Colonel A. H. Herbert on active service. Dated 20th September, 1915.
Queen Alexandra’s 2nd (Wellington West Coast) Mounted Rifles.
Lieutenant Francis Arthur Nelson is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and is absorbed into the establishment. Dated 17th June, 1916.
6th (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles.
Lieutenant Douglas Gifford Moore is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and is absorbed into the establishment. Dated 19th June, 1916.
New Zealand Field Artillery.
The date of the promotion of 2nd Lieutenant Charles Newey Mitchell to the rank of Lieutenant, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 47, of the 20th April, 1916, is 8th February, 1915, and not 18th March, 1916, as therein stated.
New Zealand Garrison Artillery.
Sidney Bree Williams Swiney to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), Wellington Garrison Division, vice Lieutenant Haughton, on active service. Dated 24th May, 1916.
Corps of New Zealand Engineers.
Lieutenant Allan Norman Oakey is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and is absorbed into the establishment. Dated 19th February, 1916.
Lieutenant Allan Norman Oakey is granted the temporary rank of Captain while employed as Officer Commanding a Group. Dated 4th May, 1916.
7th (Wellington West Coast) Regiment.
• The date of the appointments of the undermentioned to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 58, of the 11th May, 1916, is 25th November, 1915, and not 17th February, 1916, as therein stated :—

16th (Waikato) Regiment.
Major George James Rastrick is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and is absorbed into the establishment. Dated 20th May, 1916.
Major George James Rastrick is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 20th May, 1916.
2nd Lieutenant Keith Longbourne Vickerman, from the Unattached List (b), to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 9th May, 1916.
New Zealand Medical Corps.
Major Ernest Edward Porritt, M.D., to be Lieutenant-Colonel while employed as Principal Medical Officer in Samoa. Dated 23rd May, 1916.
Captain (temporary Major) Alexander Cameron McKillop, M.B. Ch.B. Edin., is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and is absorbed. Dated 25th April, 1916.
Captain (temporary Major) Alexander Cameron McKillop, M.B. Ch.B. Edin., is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 25th April, 1916.
Lieutenant John McGhie, M.B. Ch.B. Glas., to be Captain while employed with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Dated 21st May, 1916.
