Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Otago Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a site for a public school.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods, more or less, being Section 13A, Airedale Settlement, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the south side of the main road bearing 243°, 804·4 links, from the northern corner of Section 5A, Airedale Settlement; thence by said section 148° 52′, 300·8 links, 243°, 500 links, 328° 52′, 300·8 links, to the main road; by said road 63°, 500 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/78, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Land temporarily reserved as a Site for a Public Library and Hall in Block XIII, Tuhua Survey District, Auckland Land District.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 36 perches, more or less, being Section 5, Block XIII, Tuhua Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section 4, Block XIII, Tuhua Survey District, 550 links; towards the east by a line bearing 180° 38′, 120 links; towards the south by a line bearing 270° 38′, 659 links; and towards the north-west by a public road 100 links wide, 162·5 links: be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1913/742B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan 17228, blue.)

Opening Land in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Sale or Selection.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—WAIROA COUNTY.—MAHANGA SURVEY DISTRICT.
Second-class land.
SECTION 30, Block V: Area, 32 acres 2 roods. Approximate annual rent per acre, 10s. 6d. Capital value, £340. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-yearly rent, £8 10s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £6 16s.
Hilly land, in grass. Soil fair, on clay and papa foundation; no water on block, but may be got by sinking. Altitude, 5 ft. to 400 ft. above sea-level. Adjoins the Mahia Township, and is three miles distant from the Opoutama Post-office by a good beach.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that
WILLIAM HENRY BIRD,
being a person holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at Mangamahu, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
