Change of Name of Locality and Bay, “German Bay” to “Takamatau.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Board of the Road District of Akaroa-Wainui has, by resolution adopted at an ordinary meeting thereof, requested that the name of the locality situated in the Road District of Akaroa-Wainui and known as “German Bay” be altered to “Takamatau” :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the locality now known as “German Bay” shall be and the same is hereby altered to “Takamatau,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such locality accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the bay now known as “German Bay” shall be and the same is hereby altered to “Takamatau Bay,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such bay accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, not being earlier than six months after the first publication thereof in the Gazette.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this seventh day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Directing Preparation of Valuation Lists for Parts of City of Dunedin.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by Orders in Council dated the sixteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, duly published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, at page 1777, the boundaries of the City of Dunedin were altered by including therein the areas particularly described in the Schedules to the said Orders in Council, as from the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen: And whereas the said areas so included in the City of Dunedin were formerly parts of the Tomahawk, Portobello, and Peninsula Road Districts respectively, in the County of Peninsula: And whereas it is necessary that valuation lists for the areas so added to the City of Dunedin should be prepared, and that the various times prescribed in the making and preparation of such lists by the Rating Act, 1908, should be extended in manner hereinafter appearing :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf enabling me in the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim, declare, and direct—
(a.) That valuation lists be prepared for the areas described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules hereto so added to the City of Dunedin, as constituted at the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, setting forth the rateable value of all rateable property in those areas, and the names of the occupiers and owners thereof, and all other necessary particulars, as provided or required by section seven of the Rating Act, 1908, as amended by the Rating Amendment Act, 1910, be prepared.
(b.) That such valuation lists shall be prepared on or before the twenty-first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
(c.) That objections to the said valuation lists shall be delivered on or before the fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
