NOTICE is hereby given that the main channel for Hokianga Bar is now with flagstaff bearing N. 79° E. (magnetic) with 16 ft. on bar at M.L.W.S.
Charts, &c., affected: Admiralty Charts Nos. 1091A and 2525; “New Zealand Pilot,” eighth edition, 1908, Chapter vii, page 201; “New Zealand Nautical Almanac,” 1916, page 450, and plan facing page 450.

Notice to Mariners No. 36 of 1916.
MOTUEKA HARBOUR.
Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 17th May, 1916.
THE Motueka Harbour Board have notified that the new harbour is open and shipping is now trading to it. A straight channel giving 6 ft. at sea entrance and 7 ft. in the channel at M.L.W.S. has been dredged from the harbour entrance to the wharf, which is 407 ft. in length. About on cable beyond the wharf two beacons have been erected, the front beacon is 14 ft. in height and has a shape surmount with black centre and white border, and the rear beacon is 22 ft. in height with a diamond shape surmount with a black vertical centre on white ground.
The beacons are 94 ft. apart, and lead through the centre of channel, bearing when in line with one another 253° (S. 57° W. magnetic).
A white light is shown at night from each beacon.
A white light is also shown on wharf from a flagpole on end of Goods Wharf.

Public Service Stores Tender Board.—Supply and Delivery of Stores.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Chairman, not later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the 19th July, 1916, for the supply and delivery, C.I.F. and E., Wellington, of 3,500 telephone earpieces, 3,500 earpiece rings, and 1½ tons resin core solder.
Particulars and conditions of tendering may be obtained at the office of the Controller of Stores, Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington; the District Storekeeper, Post and Telegraph Department, Christchurch; or at the offices of the Telegraph Engineers at Auckland and Dunedin.
