Variation of an Order in Council prohibiting all Private Alienation of certain Native Lands.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of January, 1916.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under that section may at any time be varied or revoked:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council as set out in the first part of the Schedule hereto, only in so far as it affects the land set out in the second part of the said Schedule and to the extent therein mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
FIRST PART.
Order in Council under section 363 of the Native Land Act, 1909, dated the 3rd May, 1915, and published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 13th May, 1915.
SECOND PART.
Whakaihuwaka C No. 2, in so far as to enable the Native owners to grant a lease of the block to one Tahu Paetahi.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienations of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of January, 1916.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS, there being no Harbour Board empowered to grant the license hereinafter mentioned under the Harbours Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), Mount Burnett (Limited), of Collingwood (hereinafter called “the company”), has applied to the Governor in Council for a license under the said Act to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark near Waikato in Golden Bay, Nelson, in order to erect and maintain a wharf and viaduct thereon; and, in accordance with the one-hundred-and-fiftieth section of the said Act, has deposited a plan in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington (marked M.D. 4543), showing the area of foreshore and land below low-water mark intended to be occupied, and the manner in which it is proposed to erect the said wharf and viaduct:
And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation; and the said plan has, prior to the making of this Order in Council, been approved by the Governor in Council:
And whereas it is expedient that a license should be granted and issued to the company under the said Act, for the purposes aforesaid, on the terms and conditions hereinafter expressed:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the purpose or object for which the said license is required by
