Altering Boundaries of Hawera and Eltham Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by subsection two of section three of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913, that the boundaries of any one or more counties may be altered in accordance with a resolution proposing the alteration passed by the Council of each of such counties in which the principal Act is in force:
And whereas a resolution was passed by the Hawera County Council on the tenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen: And whereas a similar resolution was passed by the Eltham County Council on the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, praying for the inclusion in the Hawera County of that part of the Eltham County described in the said resolutions and in the First Schedule hereto, and also praying for the inclusion in the Eltham County of that part of the County of Hawera described in the said resolutions and in the Second Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient to make such alterations in accordance with the said resolutions:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by the said Act, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the First Schedule hereto, being now part of the Eltham County, shall, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, be deemed to be added to and form part of the Hawera County; and that the area described in the Second Schedule hereto, being now part of the Hawera County, shall, as from the date of such publication as aforesaid, be deemed to be added to and form part of the Eltham County; and, with the like power and authority, do proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Counties of Hawera and Eltham respectively shall as from the aforesaid date be those set forth under their respective headings in the Third Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE ADDED TO HAWERA COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at the junction of Rotokare and Makino Roads; thence along the middle of the said Rotokare Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 12, Block XV, Ngaere Survey District; thence to and along the southern boundary of that section and part of its eastern boundary to Subdivision 1 of Section 14 (northern part) along the southern and eastern boundaries of that subdivision and the south-western boundary of Section 31, to the westernmost corner of Tutaeariari No. 1 Block, along the north-western boundary of that block to the branch of the Makino Stream which intersects Subdivision 9 of the said Tutaeariari No. 1 Block, along that stream to the westernmost corner of Subdivision 8 of the said Tutaeariari No. 1 Block, along the south-western boundary of that subdivision and along the south-eastern boundary of the said Tutaeariari No. 1 Block to Section 4, Block XVI, Ngaere Survey District; thence along the north-eastern boundary of that section, across a road, along the north-eastern boundary of Section 5, the abutment of a road, and along the north-eastern and western boundaries of Section 1, Block XVI aforesaid, to Makino Road; thence to and along the middle of that road to its junction with Rotokare Road, the place of commencement. As the same is delineated on the plan marked I.A. 19/86/23, deposited in the office of the Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE ADDED TO ELTHAM COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of Subdivision 6 of Tutaeariari No. 1 Block; thence along the south-eastern boundary of the said Tutaeariari No. 1 Block to the Patea River, along the right bank of that river to the south-eastern corner of Tutaeariari No. 2 Block; thence along the south-eastern boundary of the said Tutaeariari No. 2 Block to Roimata Trig. Station; and thence along a right line to the easternmost corner of Subdivision 6 of Tutaeariari No. 1 Block, the place of commencement. As the same is delineated on the plan marked I.A. 19/86/23, deposited in the office of the Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington.
THIRD SCHEDULE.
HAWERA COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards the north generally by Eltham County, hereinbefore described from Palmer Road to the middle of Lower Moeawatea Road, and along the middle of that road to a point opposite the north-eastern corner of Section 2, Block IV, Opaku Survey District; thence towards the south-east generally to and by the said Section 2, Section 1, Block IV aforesaid, and Section
ERRATA.—The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 103, dated 24th September, 1914, relative to the appointment of Lieutenant Wilfred Urwin Ward as Dental Surgeon, New Zealand Expeditionary Force (Samoa), 1914, should read “Lieutenant Charles Kay Ward,” and not as therein stated.
In Gazette No. 141, of the 9th December, 1915, page 4004, Appointments, New Zealand Army Nursing Service Corps, for “Nurse Kate J. Barnett” read “Nurse Kate J. Barnitt.”
