Applications invited for the Position of Instructor and Demonstrator of the “Burroughs,” “Comptometer,” and “Remington Wahl,” or other Adding, Listing, and Computing Machines in the Offices of the Government Departments of the Public Service of New Zealand.

A PPLICATIONS will be received by the undersigned up till noon on the 31st May, 1916, for the position of Instructor and Demonstrator of the “Burroughs,” “Comptometer,” and “Remington Wahl,” or other adding, listing, and computing machines in the offices of the Government Departments of the Public Service of New Zealand.

  1. Applications (to be made on P.S.C. Form 17A, obtainable at principal post-offices) must be addressed to the Secretary to the Public Service Commissioner, Wellington, and must embrace a statement of education and experience, particulars of age, &c.

  2. The successful applicant will be required to conduct classes of instruction, to demonstrate the uses of the machines in offices, and to conduct examinations in machine-work as may be required, and generally to carry out the directions of the Public Service Commissioner.

  3. Salary will be not less than £260, rising to £300 per annum.

  4. If in addition to the stated requirements the successful applicant has had special experience as a “systematizer” in commercial-office work, or in accounting and statistical work of large Government Departments, a salary commencing at £300 and rising to £350 will be paid.

The appointment will be subject to the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1912.
