A PPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of
a provisional certificate of title in the name of JOHN
BROWN, of Masterton, Settler, for Lot 27, D.P. 637, of
subdivision of Section 22, Taueru Block, being the whole of
the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 70, folio 262,
and evidence having been lodged of the loss or destruction
of the said certificate of title, I hereby give notice that I
will issue the provisional certificate of title, as requested,
on the 19th day of May, 1916.

Block XXI, Town of Arrowtown, being the land contained
in certificate of title, Vol. 59, folio 259, and evidence having
been lodged of the loss of the said certificate of title, I hereby
give notice that I shall issue a provisional certificate of title,
as requested, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same
within fourteen days from the date of publication of this
notice in the Gazette.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £1,000.—
PUKEMAPOU NO. 2 SPECIAL-RATING DISTRICT.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on
a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei
County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
for the purpose of metalling the Pukemapou Road and the
cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said
Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of three-farthings (¾d.) in the pound sterling upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable
property of the Pukemapou No. 2 Special-rating District,
comprising Sections 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 22 in Block III,
Section part 23 (100 acres) in Block IV, and Sections 1, 2, 3, 4,
part 5 (100 acres), 22, 23, and 24 in Block VII, all in the
Tiriraukawa Survey District; as the said special-rating
district is more particularly shown upon the map annexed to
the ratepayers’ consent to such loan, and thereon bordered
red. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the first day of May in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a
half, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Bennet Perry Lethbridge, Chairman of the Rangitikei
County Council, do hereby certify that the above resolution
was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangi-
tikei County Council held on the 8th day of April, 1916.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Council has
been affixed this 8th day of April, 1916.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £300.—
PUKENAUA-NAMUNUI SPECIAL-RATING DISTRICT.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Rangi-
tikei County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on
a loan of £300, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei
County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
for the purpose of trimming and gravelling the Pukenaua
Road from the end of the present gravelled portion to its
junction with the Namunui Road, a distance of about one
mile, and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the
loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one penny farthing (1¼d.) in the pound
sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital
value) of all rateable property of the Pukenaua-Namunui
Special-rating District, comprising Sections 9A, part 11
(32 acres), 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, part 22 (45 acres), and
part 27 (50 acres), all in Block XIII, Ohinewairua Survey
District; as the said special-rating district is more particularly
shown upon the map annexed to the ratepayers’ consent to
such loan, and thereon bordered red. And that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE, ETC.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Eketa-
huna County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalment in respect
of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan
of five hundred pounds, authorized to be raised by the Eketa-
huna County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1913, for metalling Pori Road, the said Eketahuna County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine-
sixteenths of one penny in £1 upon the rateable value of all
rateable property of the Pori Road Loan No. 2 Special-rating
Area, comprising part Sec. 13, Block I, part 6 and Secs. 7/8,
Block II, Secs. 1, 2, 4, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 21, Block V,
part Sec. 1 and Secs. 2, 5, Block VI, Puketoi S.D. ; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the
1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of thirty-six and a half years (36½), or until the loan is fully
paid off.

And that the common seal of the Chairman, Councillors,
and Inhabitants of the County of Eketahuna be affixed hereto.
