Notice to make Returns of Income under the Land and Income Assessment Act, 1908, and Amendment Acts, 1912–1913, and the Finance Act, 1915.

Wellington, 1st May, 1916.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the above Acts and the regulations made thereunder, every person and company having derived income within the meaning of the said Acts during the year ending 31st March, 1916, from any source or by any means which is made the subject of taxation under the said Acts, is hereby required to make and furnish to me, in the prescribed form, returns of such income on or before the 2nd day of June, 1916.

And, further, notice is hereby given that such returns shall in all cases be delivered at or forwarded to the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, in the Government Buildings at Wellington.

Election of Governor.—Auckland Grammar School Board.

IN accordance with the Auckland Grammar School Act, 1899, and with the regulations thereunder, for the election of Governors by the Education Board of the District of Auckland, I hereby notify that at a meeting of the said Board held this day

was duly re-elected a Governor of the Board of Governors constituted by the said Act.

School Colours, &c.

THE following list of claims for registration of school colours, &c., is gazetted, in accordance with regulations published in the New Zealand Gazette of 12th August, 1915.

Objections to any of the claims set forth must be addressed to “The Registration Officer for School Colours, &c., Education Department, Wellington,” and must be delivered at the address within forty days of the date of the publication hereof.

PALMERSTON NORTH HIGH SCHOOL.

Colours.—Navy blue, 2 in. wide, with two white horizontal stripes ⅛ in. wide and running ⅛ in. from each edge.

Badge.—A shield surmounted by a lion; the shield divided in two vertically, the left half containing an eagle displayed and the right half a tower surmounted by a flag; the whole surrounded by a garter bearing thereon the motto “Nihil boni sine labore,” and in base the letters “P.N.H.S.”

OTAGO BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL.

Colours.—Navy blue, 2¼ in. wide, with white horizontal stripes ⅛ in. wide running ¹⁄₁₆ in. from each edge.

Badge.—Circle enclosing the letters “O.B.H.S.” divided by a rectangular cross; formal rose in centre.

OTAGO GIRLS’ HIGH SCHOOL.

Colours.—Navy blue, 2¼ in. wide.

Badge.—The letters “G.H.S.” conjoined in white.
