  1. AREA OF SUPPLY.
    THE area of supply comprises that portion of the Waimea County bounded towards the south-west by the circumference of a circle with a radius of six miles from the licensee’s power-house on Section 3, Block X, Waimea Survey District, and passing through Sections 78, 73, 74, 97, 96, and part of Section XI, Block VII, Waimea Survey District; thence on the east by a line about twelve chains east of the eastern boundary of the said Section XIX, the eastern boundaries of Section XV, Block VII, Waimea Survey District, XV and 69 and 31, Block VIII, Waimea Survey District; thence on the north-east by a road through Section 28, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence on the west by a line from the north-western corner of the said Section 28 to and in line with the westernmost boundary of Section V, Block IV, Waimea Survey District, and the said westernmost boundary of the said Section V and portion of the eastern boundary of Section 10, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence on the north by the northern boundary of the said Section 10 and a continuation of such boundary to the road in Section 11, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence on the north-east by the said road to a point opposite the northern boundary of Section 2, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence on the north by a line to and along the northern boundary of the said Section 2 to the sea-coast, thence on the west by the sea-coast to the said circumference: as indicated by a red and black border on the plan marked P.W.D. 39492, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

  2. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
    The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (2) (a) and (d) of clause 2 of the regulations.
    The generating voltage shall be approximately 2,500 volts between the terminals.

  3. DATUM TEMPERATURE.
    For the purpose of calculating the stresses as provided in clause 12 of the regulations, the datum temperature shall be taken as 12 degrees Fahrenheit.

  4. NOTICES re EXTENSIONS, ETC.
    Records of results of tests (Regulation 37), and notices re commencement of work (Regulation 44) and re extensions and alterations (Regulation 49), should be sent to the Under-Secretary, Public Works Department, Wellington, and to the Telegraph Engineer of the district, or his deputy, at present stationed at Nelson.

  5. CHARGES FOR ELECTRIC ENERGY.
    The charge for electrical energy shall not exceed 9d. per unit for lighting purposes, and 4d. per unit for motor-power, heating, or cooking purposes; provided that “lighting purposes” shall include the operation of motor generators for lighting purposes.

  6. DURATION OF LICENSE.
    This license shall, unless sooner determined in accordance with the provisions hereinafter expressed, continue in force for a period of forty-two years from the date hereof. Upon the expiry of the said term, or upon the sooner determination of this license by revocation or otherwise, all rights hereby granted to the licensee shall thereupon cease and determine; but such expiration or determination shall not relieve the licensee of any liability theretofore incurred under this license.

  7. WORKS IN THE STOKE ROAD DISTRICT AND WAIMEA COUNTY.
    Notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained, the licensee shall not be entitled to erect, maintain, or use any electric line within the Stoke Road District or the Waimea County except subject to such conditions, not inconsistent with the provisions of this license, as may from time to time be agreed on between the licensee and the Stoke Road Board and between the licensee and the Waimea County Council.

Vesting a Cemetery Reserve in the Whangamarino Road Board.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of April, 1916.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for a public cemetery: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Corporation of the Whangamarino Road District:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Corporation of the Whangamarino Road District, in trust, for a public cemetery.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 5 acres, more or less, being Allotment 73, Maramarua Parish (Block I, Piako Survey District). Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 707·1 links; towards the south-east and south-west by Allotment 53, Maramarua Parish, 707·1 and 707·1 links respectively; and towards the north-west by Allotment 52 of the aforesaid parish, 707·1 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. II/294, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan 18420, blue.)

Portions of Catherine, George, Hope, and Venus Streets, in the Borough of Invercargill, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of April, 1916.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of any road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor, by Order in Council, thinks fit to impose:
And whereas the Invercargill Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the streets described in the Schedule hereto, has passed the following resolution—viz., “That the Invercargill Borough Council, being the local authority having control of those parts of George and Catherine Streets commencing at their junction with Elles Road and proceeding in an easterly direction to their termination, being a distance of 4840 and 4840 links, more or less, respectively; also that part of Venus Street commencing at its junction with Hope Street and proceeding in a southerly direction to its junction with Centre Street, being a distance of 2000 links, more or less; and also that part of Hope Street commencing at its junction with Venus Street and proceeding in an easterly direction to its junction with Morton Road, a distance of 620 links, more or less, declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to such portions of the above-named streets”:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved in so far as it refers to those portions of the said portions of streets which are less than one chain in width:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution to the extent hereinbefore mentioned.

SCHEDULE.
Such portions of Venus Street, Georgetown, in the Borough of Invercargill, between Hope Street and Centre Street, as are less than 66ft. in width.
Also such portion of Hope Street, Georgetown, in the Borough of Invercargill, between Venus Street and Morton Road, as is less than 66 ft. in width.
