Change of Name of Locality and Bay, “German Bay” to “Takamata.”

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Board of the Road District of Akaroa-Wainui has, by resolution adopted at an ordinary meeting thereof, requested that the name of the locality situated in the Road District of Akaroa-Wainui and known as “German Bay” be altered to “Takamata”:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the locality now known as “German Bay” shall be and the same is hereby altered to “Takamata,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such locality accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the bay now known as “German Bay” shall be and the same is hereby altered to “Takamata Bay,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such bay accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, not being earlier than six months after the first publication thereof in the Gazette.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this seventh day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Land proclaimed as a Road in Block VII, Patetere North Survey District, Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owner and mortgagees of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the Matamata County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land described in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 4 acres 0 roods 12·5 perches.

Portion of Section 111, Block VII, Patetere North Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/253, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. (Auckland Plan 18214.)
