the bridge described in the Schedule hereto, and known as Otara Bridge (hereinafter called “the said bridge”), shall, from and after the date of gazetting hereof, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Opotiki County Council; and, in further pursuance and exercise of the powers aforesaid, I do hereby fix and determine that the cost of maintaining, repairing, or improving the said bridge shall be provided and paid by the local authorities hereinafter mentioned in the following proportions—viz., the Opotiki County Council to pay three-fifths of such cost, and the Opotiki Borough Council to pay two-fifths of such cost. And I do hereby direct that the contributions hereby required to be made as aforesaid by the Opotiki Borough Council towards the cost of maintaining, repairing, or improving the said bridge shall be paid from time to time, in the proportion hereinafter prescribed, out of the funds of the Opotiki Borough Council within a period of one month after demand in writing made by or on behalf of the Council of the Opotiki County; and the payments so required to be made shall be made from time to time to the Clerk of the Opotiki County Council for and on behalf of the Council of the Borough of Opotiki.
SCHEDULE.
THAT bridge over the Otara River from the eastern side of Main Street, Borough of Opotiki, to Gordon’s property, East Coast Road, all in Block III, Opotiki Survey District. As the site of the said bridge is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 32844, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon shown by a purple cross.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

PURSUANT to the authority vested in me by section sixty-five of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, and by an Order in Council of the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, establishing Island Councils in the Cook Islands and determining the constitution thereof, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby nominate and appoint the following persons as members of the Island Councils in the Cook Islands to hold office during my pleasure, in accordance with the provisions of the said Order in Council, that is to say:—
