Notices to make Returns of Land under the Land and Income Assessment Act, 1908, and Amendment Acts, 1912 and 1913, and the Finance Act, 1915.

Land and Income Tax Department,
Wellington, 29th March, 1916.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the above Acts and the regulations made thereunder, every person and company within the meaning of the said Acts being owner of land in New Zealand, or being the holder or owner of any mortgage or mortgages of land in New Zealand, is hereby required to make and furnish to me, in the prescribed form, returns of such land and mortgages as at 12 o’clock noon on the 31st day of March instant.

And, further, notice is hereby given that such returns shall in all cases be delivered at or forwarded to the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, in the Government Buildings at Wellington, on or before the 1st day of May, 1916.

Notice to Mariners No. 26 of 1916.

AUCKLAND HARBOUR.—ERECTION OF TRIG. STATION ON REEF OF JUDGES BAY.

Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 4th April, 1916.

THE Auckland Harbour Board have notified that a permanent trig. station has been erected on the reef of Judges Bay, in connection with the new railway-works.

The trig. station is situated 160 ft. inside or to the southward of the extreme end of the reef, and takes the form of a triangular structure with a flagpole in the centre.

Two temporary line beacons have been erected by the Railway Department in Hobson Bay on a line bearing 137° 44′ (S. 58° 46′ E. magnetic) from the permanent trig. station. The first of these beacons is situated 3·9 cables from the trig. station, and the second 6·5 cables from the trig. station.
