To render the whole assets of the company, including its unpaid capital, liable for the proper administration of all estates committed to the company, and for the proper discharge by the company and by its officers of its and their duties under all the before-mentioned powers.

To provide that all the existing powers and jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of New Zealand shall apply in respect of all trusts undertaken by the company, that the constitution or incorporation of the company shall remain unaffected by the proposed legislation, and that the company shall be subject to all future legislation regulating trust companies without any right to compensation for the effect of any such legislation on the interests of the company.
Notice is also given that a copy of the said petition and Bill will be deposited in the office of the Examiner of Standing Orders within fourteen days after the commencement of the said session.

THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Thames County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand five hundred pounds (£3,500), authorized to be raised by the Thames County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming and metalling Waitakaruru District roads, the said Thames County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirteen-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waitakaruru District Special-rating Area, comprising all that parcel of land bounded as follows:—
Starting at the intersection of the south-western boundary of the Hauraki Plains Area with the southern boundary of the Thames County; thence westerly, north-westerly, and north-easterly generally by the boundary of the said county to the Firth of Thames; thence south-easterly by the Firth of Thames to the centre of the Waitakaruru Stream; thence southerly by the centre-line of the Waitakaruru Stream to the intersection with the south-western boundary of the Hauraki Plains Area; and thence by the aforesaid boundary of the Hauraki Plains Area to the point of commencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 15th day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution as recorded in the minutes of the ordinary meeting of the Thames County Council held on the 7th day of March, 1916.

NOTICE is hereby given that Australasian Scale Company (Limited), a company duly incorporated in the State of New South Wales, intends to commence and carry on business in New Zealand, and that its place of business will be situate at No. 23 King’s Chambers, Willeston Street, in the City of Wellington.

TAKAKA COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL RESOLUTION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Takaka County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized to be raised by the said Takaka County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a cart-bridge at Lindsay’s Crossing, Upper Takaka, the said Takaka County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅓ of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within a line struck on the western side of Sections 27, 23, 4, and 5, Block 2, Totaranui Survey District, and Sections 3, 14, 16, 8, 9, and 21, Block 4, Totaranui Survey District aforesaid; thence running along the range to Mount Evans, and along the boundary between the Takaka and Waimca Counties to the source of Flora Creek in Block X, Harapaki Survey District; thence running along Flora Creek aforesaid to its confluence with Takaka River; thence running along the Takaka River aforesaid to a small creek opposite the south-eastern corner of Section 2, Block 1, Flora Survey District aforesaid; and thence running along the northern boundary of and excluding Sections 2, 1, 2, 1, and 2 in Blocks IV and III, Harapaki Survey District aforesaid, and Blocks XVIII and IX, Waingaro Survey District; and thence along a creek to and excluding the scenic reserve in Block XIV, Waingaro Survey District aforesaid; thence running along the boundary between Takaka and Collingwood Counties to the sea-coast; and thence running along the sea-coast to the starting-point at Section 27, Block II, Totaranui Survey District aforesaid. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 23rd day of September during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six (26) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

In the matter of the MAY QUEEN GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company duly convened and held at the office of the company on the 14th day of February, 1916, the following special resolution was duly passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company also duly convened and held at the same place on the 8th day of March, 1916, the said following resolution was duly confirmed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.”
At the last-named meeting JOHN WILLIAM NICHOL, of Auckland, Company Secretary, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of the winding-up.

HUNTLY TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Huntly Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the said Huntly Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the more adequate provision of an electric lighting and power supply for the Huntly Town District, including the acquisition of such sites and land as may be necessary for such purpose, and the construction and erection thereon of such power-house, buildings, plant, and machinery as may be necessary or incidental to the said undertaking, and also the provision and erection of such poles, wires, lamps, and connections as may be required for the public and private lighting of the district, the said Huntly Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅔ of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Town District of Huntly; and that such special rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years (36½), or until the loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a minute of the proceedings of the Huntly Town Board at a properly constituted meeting held in the Town Board Office, Huntly, on the 27th day of January, 1916.
