That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five pounds (£1,775), authorized to be raised by the said Winton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing additional electric-lighting plant, and making provision for carrying night load in the Borough of Winton, and other necessary works incidental thereto, together with the procuring and constructing of all necessary machinery and plant and the paying for labour, freight, carriage, and cartage, and the doing and carrying-out of all other things for such works and everything relating or incidental thereto, the said Winton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one farthing in the pound sterling on the rateable value (or the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Winton; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 25th day of May during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six (36) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Winton Borough Council was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Winton Borough Council in the presence of—

BOROUGH OF RICHMOND.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Richmond Borough Council held on the 8th day of February, 1916, the following resolution was duly passed:—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, and all other statutory powers, the Richmond Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges (if any) on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Borough of Richmond, under the above-mentioned Act, to pay the cost of enlarging the capacity of the water-works reservoir, the said Richmond Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Richmond, comprising the whole of the said borough as defined by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Richmond Borough Council on the 8th day of February, 1916.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, ALEXANDER McRAE and OWEN JOHN FLANNERY, carrying on business as Bakers and Confectioners at Dunedin, under the style or firm of “McRae & Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 5th day of February, 1916, so far as concerns the said Alexander McRae, who retires from the said firm.

THE Partnership heretofore existing between us in the business of Milk Vendors, and carried on by us in Frankton and Hamilton, has been dissolved by mutual consent, and will be carried on from this date by FRANCIS O’BRIEN alone under the former name of “O’Brien Brothers.” All accounts owing by the said late Partnership since its commencement on 26th day of October, 1912, will be paid by the said FRANCIS O’BRIEN, who is solely entitled to receive all moneys outstanding due to the said late Partnership.
