Results of Polls for Proposed Loans.

THE following notices received from the Mayor of the Borough of Onehunga are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

ONEHUNGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the results of the polls taken on the 9th instant were as follows:—
On the proposal to raise a loan of £5,000 for providing and installing water-filters for the Borough of Onehunga—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 418;
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 306.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.

On the proposal to raise a loan of £2,780 for repayment of expenditure on waterworks extension—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 294;
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 427.
I therefore declare the proposal lost.

On the proposal to raise a loan of £23,350 for streets formation and plant—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 218;
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 498.

WHEREAS I, Joseph George Ward, the Postmaster-General of New Zealand, have reasonable ground to suppose that the companies named in the Schedule hereto are engaged in communications of a nature injurious to the public safety and the effective conduct of the military and naval operations of His Majesty during the present war:
Now, therefore, I do hereby, in pursuance of clause 2 of the War Regulations of the 17th day of December, 1914, order that no postal packet or telegram addressed to or intended for the companies named in the Schedule hereto shall be forwarded or delivered by the Post Office or transmitted by telegraph.

Notice to Imprestees under the Public Revenues Act, 1910.
The Treasury,
Wellington, 24th February, 1916.
EVERY officer holding advances of public money is hereby required to pay to the Public Account, at the nearest branch of the Bank of New Zealand, the unexpended balance of his account on or before Friday, the 31st March proximo, and forthwith to transmit to the Treasury at Wellington the bank receipt for such repayment, together with an account of his expenditure to the same date, as required by clause 5 of the Treasury Regulations.
